The Feeling Bored Trigger

Feeling bored can be a trigger to smoke. Here are a few ideas on what to do instead of lighting up, so you can stay on track to quit smoking:

1.  Call A Friend
When you’re bored, just wait five minutes before smoking. Give a call to long-lost friends, family or anyone else you haven’t talked to in a while. Catch up, tell them about life and your decision to quit smoking. You could end up adding to your list of supporters.

2.  Start a Hobby
You know all those things you THINK about when you’re smoking, stuff you tell yourself you’re going to do one day? DO them. Start a hobby. Get a trial membership at a gym. Try to make it through your boredom without having a cigarette.

3. Do Something Silly
Okay, in the meantime, here’s a great way to pass some time instead of smoking — the internet. Start with this site.
